Paintball, You Mean There is More To It?

It has come to our attention that there are a lot of people out there that don't really know that there are different types of paintball. Our mission is to help those poor lost souls and open their eyes to what awaits them in the world of paintball. Although there are many variations of the game of paintball we don't want to overwhelm you so we will stick to the main three. Now these may arguably be the main three but for the sake of this article we will say that they are the main three variations of paintball and they are Woodsball, Speedball, and Scenario Paintball.

Woodsball is oldschool paintball at its heart. Paintball started off for the most part being played in wooded areas which lent themselves to the "capture the flag" and "elimination" type paintball games to be played. Because woodsball can be played over several acres and there are usually not many areas where large portions of the field can be viewed at one time, woodsball games tend to run longer than other types of paintball play. Wooded areas also give players the ability to take part in some more realistic wartime situations such as ambushes, assaults on fortified positions and protecting VIP's etc..

Speedball differs from woodsball in a number of ways. One of the most obvious differences is the look and size of the field. As opposed to the large and natural landscape of woodsball, speedball is played usually on artificial turf with artificial bunkers on a field that is typically no larger than half of a football field in size. The artificial obstacles and bunkers have evolved over the years, in the old days of paintball they were made of anything that was laying around mainly larger wooden spools and crates, they then moved onto corrugated sewer piping and eventually evolved into the more cost effective and aesthetically pleasing inflatable bunkers that are more popular today.

Scenario paintball games are based on a storyline or theme. Scenario games allow for a wide range of player skill levels and an even larger amount of participants. These games can span a period as short as 12 hours or last for days. Objectives vary based on the storyline but cooperation is a major theme in these games. The largest game to date was Skirmish's Invasion of Normandy, held annually in Jim Thorpe, PA, which drew 4,007 players in 2006. The summer of 2007 should be another record breaking season for paintball, it should be fun to see.

Avoid Bankruptcy - What Can I Do To Avoid Bankruptcy?

No one really ever sets out with the goal of having to file for bankruptcy, yet people have to do it every day. To help you avoid falling into the same situation I would like to share some ideas that can help you stay strong financially. The information I am going to share with you should not replace legal guidance but should serve as a learning tool only.

If you have high amounts of debt consider getting a second job. Many employers dont have a problem with it as long as it doesnt interfere with your work schedule or performance. They also dont want you to be working for a direct competitor. The income from that second job should only be applied to lower your debt. If you earn $200 per week then you will have at least $800 more than before to apply towards your debts each month. Keep a list of your debts and apply the money to the one with the highest interest rate first.

While you are trying to eliminate the debt you have already incurred you need to not add more to it. Cut up all your credit cards or at least give them to a trusted individual who will not allow you to use them. You may keep only the card with the lowest interest rate. You need to be committed to only using it in a dire emergency.

Do you own your home? If so, you might want to consider using the equity you have built up in your home towards your debt. The amount may be more than sufficient. You need to make sure you will be able to meet the additional mortgage on your home though if you choose this option. If you have an expensive vehicle or a high payment on one, consider selling it. Buy something that is less expensive as well as gets good gas mileage. Be careful not to be one that will continually need repairs though.

Following these tips just may save you from getting too far down that lonesome road of debt without a way out. You want to change your spending habits early on so that you wont find yourself in a position where bankruptcy is your only avenue for relief.

If you found this information on avoid bankruptcy useful, you'll want to read this article about bankruptcy exemptions.

The Art of Asking - What, When, Why and How In MLM

What do you ask someone when prospecting? How do you ask them? When do you ask? Why do you ask certain questions? Are there rules?

People often get confused about the probing process in prospecting for new business. There are rules...although to my knowledge.

What Questions to Ask

If you speak with someone about your business, there are a number of appropriate questions to ask to help determine whether or not they are right for the business, capable of doing the business, and ready to do the business.

When I begin my interview process with someone, here are the basic questions I ask. Please note: I don't always ask all of them. One of the important skills to acquire in this business is judgment. Learning when to segue from asking questions to presenting information is critical.

Are you currently self-employed or have you been in the past?

What do you do for a living currently?

What do you like most about what you do?

Is there anything you don't like?

Are you primarily looking to supplement your income or are you looking for something more substantial?

How much time do you have to devote to a business of your own on a weekly basis?

What type of income are you looking to generate?

What type of income are you accustomed to earning?

How soon do you see yourself getting started?

Are you in the position to invest (fill in the blanks) to get started in a business?

What kind of value do you feel you could bring this team?

Are you teachable?

Other than money, what are you looking for?

are you looking to get involved in a home-based business?

I tend to shy away from questions that get into information that is irrelevant to the initial interview. Some of them may be appropriate, others may not. Use your better judgment. For example:

Are you married?

Do you have kids?

What do you like to do in your spare time?

When to Ask Certain Questions

While you first are in the process of establishing rapport with your prospect, it's important to ask the easy questions first. Asking them how much they make in the first few seconds is a no-no. Just think of it like dating: If you were on a first date with someone you might want to see again, you'd never ask the hard questions up front!

Pace yourself. Ease into the process. It becomes much easier to get answers from people once you have established a bit of rapport in the conversation.

Why Do We Ask Certain Questions?

We ask questions that are appropriate to the subject at hand. I never ask people questions that are irrelevant. Stay on target.

You are introducing a financial opportunity to them, so you ask questions about job and career, free time, likes and dislikes, etc. The reason is simple: to find out more about who this person is, what they may be dissatisfied with and how your opportunity may fill a need in their life.

How Do We Ask?

Try to stay away from asking questions that can be answered with a no. This isn't always possible, but the more questions you ask that elicit a positive response, the better off you are.

Try asking questions such as:

This sounds good, doesn't it?

If you could make more money...you would want to start now, wouldn't you?

Any question that ends in:

aren't you?

don't you?

doesn't they?

isn't it?

...and so on can be very powerful!

Also, when setting a follow-up appointment, give the person an either/or question, such as:

- Tom, would you be available Tuesday morning or Tuesday afternoon?

Remember, prospecting is a lot about asking and then listening to the other person's answers.

Don't worry about being interesting -focus on being interested. The more interested you are in the other person, the more interesting you will become to them!

Why You Need Title Insurance

Protecting your Home Investment

A home is usually the largest single investment any of us will ever make. When you purchase a home, you will purchase several types of insurance coverage to protect your home and personal property. Homeowner's insurance protects against loss from fire, theft, or wind damage. Flood insurance protects against rising water. And a unique coverage known as title insurance protects against hidden title hazards that may threaten your financial investment in your home.

Protecting Your Largest Single Investment

Title insurance is not as well understood as other types of home insurance, but it is just as important. You see, when purchasing a home, instead of purchasing the actual building or land, you are really purchasing the title to the property - the right to occupy and use the space. That title may be limited by rights and claims asserted by others, which may limit your use and enjoyment of the property and even bring financial loss. Title insurance protects against these types of title hazards.

Other types of insurance that protect your home focus on possible future events and charge an annual premium. On the other hand, title insurance protects against loss from hazards and defects that already exist in the title and is purchased with a one-time premium.

Two Kinds of Title Insurance Benefit You in Two Ways

There are two basic kinds of title insurance:

  • Lender or mortgagee protection,

  • Owner's coverage.
Most lenders require mortgagee title insurance as security for their investment in real estate, just as they may call for fire insurance and other types of coverage as investor protection. When title insurance is provided, lenders are willing to make mortgage money available in distant locales where they know little about the market.

Owner's title insurance lasts as long as you, the policyholder - or your heirs - has an interest in the insured property. This may even be after you have sold the property.

Depending on local practices and state law where the property is located, you may pay an additional premium for an owner's policy or you may pay a simultaneous issue charge - usually a smaller amount - for the separate lender coverage. You may even split settlement costs with the seller for the lender or owner's policy.

What does Your Premium Really Pay For?

An important part of title insurance is its emphasis on risk elimination before insuring. This gives you, as the policyholder, the best possible chance for avoiding title claim and loss.

Title insuring begins with a search of public land records affecting the real estate concerned. An examination is conducted by the title agent or attorney on behalf of its underwriter to determine whether the property is insurable. The examination of evidence from a search is intended to fully report all "material objections" to the title. Frequently, documents that don't clearly transfer title are found in the "chain," or history that is assembled from the records in a search. Here are some examples of documents that can present concerns:

  • Deeds, wills and trusts that contain improper wording or incorrect names;

  • Outstanding mortgages and judgments, or a lien against the property because the seller has not paid his taxes;

  • Easements that allow construction of a road or utility line;

  • Pending legal action against the property that could affect a purchaser; or

  • Incorrect notary acknowledgments.
Through the search and the examination, title problems are disclosed so they can be corrected whenever possible. However, even the most careful preventative work cannot locate all hidden title hazards.

Hidden Title Hazards - Your Last Defense

In spite of all the expertise and dedication that go into a title search and examination, hidden hazards can emerge after closing, resulting in unpleasant and costly surprises. Some examples of hazards include:

  • A forged signature on the deed, which would mean no transfer of ownership to you;

  • An unknown heir of a previous owner who is claiming ownership of the property;

  • Instruments executed under an expired or a fabricated power of attorney; or

  • Mistakes in the public records.
Title insurance offers financial protection against these and other covered title hazards. The title insurer will pay for defending against an attack on title as insured, and will either perfect the title or pay valid claims. All for a one-time charge at closing.

Your home is your most important investment. Before you go to closing, ask about your title insurance protection, and be sure to protect your home with an owner's title insurance policy.

How To Choose A New York Traffic Lawyer

This article will help motorists with a New York traffic ticket choose the right New York traffic lawyer to defend them. Traffic tickets, such as speeding, can result in points on your NY driver's license, automobile insurance hikes and fines, surcharges and fees. Therefore, picking the right New York traffic ticket attorney is important.

More and more motorists are hiring a New York traffic ticket lawyer when they receive a NY traffic ticket. In addition to receiving professional advice from an experienced traffic ticket attorney, motorists are anxious to pass on this stressful and time-consuming task to someone else.

The first thing that you should do is make sure you are calling or emailing an actual New York traffic ticket attorney or New York traffic law firm. While this sounds obvious, the internet is replete with non-lawyers trying to make a quick buck. The most obvious tell-tale sign is when the site or the site's ad states something like "If We Don't Win, You Don't Pay 100%" or "Guaranteed or your money back". It is entirely unethical for an attorney to guarantee results and, therefore, you should stay clear from such quick buck artists. No honest, self-respecting attorney would ever make such a representation. In fact, common sense dictates that no one can guarantee what some third party (a judge or prosecutor) will do. If you are lucky, the fine print will explain what is actually being "guaranteed". Either way, however, is caveat emptor - buyer beware - for those fooled by such promises.

Similarly, I recommend avoiding any web site that lists itself as a directory of traffic lawyers or offers to find you the "right" lawyer. Those sites are simply middlemen often looking to add something to your fee for generating a lead to a real traffic lawyer. You should want to be dealing directly with a law firm (not some middleman) especially if a question or problem arises.

If you have any doubt, check the physical location of the "firm". If they do not have a New York State address (or do not even list an address), there is a good chance that you are not dealing with an actual lawyer or law firm. A New York traffic lawyer is required to list his office address on all advertising which includes his or her web site.

Once you have eliminated the non-lawyers, the next step is to find a traffic attorney who is experienced in vehicle and traffic law matters. Start by asking the attorney or the firm's paralegal about the firm's traffic law experience and, in particular, their previous experience at the court where you case is scheduled. Have they appeared in this court before? What was the result? Of course, you may not get an honest or direct answer but that is a good start.

You then can ask about any articles the lawyer has written on that subject and ask to see one of them. Chances are an attorney who has taken the time to write one or more vehicle and traffic law articles is someone who you can rely on to be experienced and knowledgeable.

Yet another important item to check is the attorney's background. Did he or she graduate from a quality law school, were they on Law Review, have they won any awards, did they previously work at a court and/or large law firm. The more impressive the attorney's background the better.

Be wary of an attorney who does not set forth his or her education and prior experience. It is safe to assume that in such cases the attorney's background is less than impressive.

Another important consideration is the comfort level you get when speaking with the law firm. Did they answer your questions? Were the answers responsive? Were they knowledgeable? Were they honest with you about the prospects for success? Were they patient? If you do not feel comfortable, then its time to make another telephone call.

A good and honest traffic ticket lawyer will inquire whether it even makes sense for you to fight this ticket and/or hire an attorney. For example, if the ticket carries no points or you have an out-of-state license and points do not transfer. Under such circumstances, hiring a New York traffic attorney likely is not worthwhile.

The final consideration is price. You should look for an attorney that will take your case for a flat fee. This way there is no surprises for you when the case is over. Many New York traffic lawyers will offer a flat fee so you do not have to settle for someone who charges by the hour or cannot give you a fee upfront. Also, just because one attorney is a $100 (or so) cheaper does not mean you should select that one. Your driver license is an important privilege and you do not want to hand this responsibility to just anyway, especially when you likely will not be in court when the case is resolved.

I would say you generally do not want the cheapest lawyer to handle your case although that does not mean you should hire the most expensive either. Look for someone whose fee is reasonable. Otherwise, the old adage "You get what you pay for" may rear its ugly head.

Choosing the right New York traffic ticket lawyer is an important decision. I hope this article is helpful in making it.

Tips on How to Find Attorneys for Mesothelioma Claims in District of Columbia

The number of mesothelioma cases diagnosed in the United States alone has been rising to about 2,000 to 3,000 annually. Experts claim that this is due to the heavy industrialization efforts in the country during the past decades.

The District of Columbia is among those US states where there are high-recorded legal complaints linked to the onset of mesothelioma. That is because there has been significant industrialization efforts in the past and there are several mines and edifices that still use asbestos.

Asbestos is the building construction material that is solely cited as the main cause for mesothelioma. Studies all around the world in the previous years, as early as 1898, have been constantly showing more and more evidence about the role exposure to asbestos could have in causing people to contract the disease.

There are many attorneys and law firms in the District of Columbia, but the problem is not all of them would be capable of representing you in your legal complaint about the companies that exposed you to mesothelioma. But if you would be watchful and patient enough, you would soon realize that the initiative would not be hard to accomplish.

Before getting to the guidelines that would help you find those attorneys fit to assist you, it would be helpful if you would fully comprehend mesothelioma and how asbestos firms should be liable in the widespread onset of the disease among people.

What is mesothelioma?

Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer characterized by the presence of malignant tumors in the sac inside the chest. Mesothelioma basically affects the mesothelia tissue, which is responsible in helping the lungs carry its usual function.

The next concept you should know would be how mesothelioma is linked to asbestos. Asbestos is a disintegrating material that has been found to cause mesothelioma. Asbestos disintegrates into very tiny and almost invisible fibers that could go into the air and reach the lungs through inhalation.

Asbestos when left exposed to the air would surely disintegrate and people in the vicinity would certainly inhale those fibers, without them knowing of the imminent danger. The exposure would not affect health abruptly. It is estimated that it would take about two months of exposure to asbestos for the body to accumulate enough particles of the substance and eventually lead to the development of the disease.

What is more unusual about mesothelioma is that the accumulated particles would not develop into tumors or cancer until up to 20 to 30 years post-exposure. That is why people exposed to asbestos in the 1960s were diagnosed with mesothelioma only during the 1980s to 1990s.

Companies and developments that used asbestos in the past should never run out of the complaints unscathed. That is because it has been found certain that there is no other possible cause to mesothelioma than asbestos exposure.

Finding attorneys in the District of Columbia

Lawyers and law firms that are familiar with mesothelioma cases are also rising in number. That is because through the years, more and more people diagnosed with the ailment have been seeking compensation for the health hazard asbestos caused to them.

It is estimated that the volume of mesothelioma medical cases and legal complaints would continue to rise up through the years and peak by 2020. After that, the number of such cases would decline until fully curtailed. That is because most firms and construction developments around the world have stopped using asbestos as a potent insulator since 1980s when people have started demonstrating against the health hazards posed by asbestos exposure.

But in the meantime, here are some practical guidelines that would help you find the best attorneys who could represent you well in this ever-demanding and tedious legal battle.

oSeek advice and recommendations from peers and experts. Do a little research so you could identify those attorneys or law firms that have already handled such cases.
oDo not entrust your case to seasoned attorneys who are new to handling such cases. This is to ensure that you would have a greater chance of being compensated.
oIf the attorney has already handles similar cases, find out if he was able to win them all. If not, seek a better lawyer.

Overall, the best tip you should take is: be determined. It would surely be along fight, but it would be all worth it in the end. Besides, asbestos firms had profited greatly in the past, but they overlooked the risks they gave to people's health, including yours.

The Law For Protecting Women From Domestic Violence

Now the Indian women got the right. To protect themselves from the cruelties faced by them inside the four walls of their house. The domestic violence act is to protect them from the cruelties they have suffered from the relatives regarding their, beauty, gender, education..etc. Even if there is a criticism existing that the law is changing the traditional concept of family in Indian culture, it can be said as a milestone in the legal history of Indian legal system.

We know that the women are ill treated not by the society itself. They are subjected to a lot of cruelties from within the walls of their house. The ill treaters will be their relatives. Especially the husbands are ill treating the wives for dowry is a usual thing as far as the Indian society is concerned. The law can set in motion now very immediately to prevent such atrocities.

The law specifically states the atrocities a women happen to suffer in her household. From the birth itself she is considered as a second citizen. She is never given the rights that a boy enjoy in the house. But nowadays the people didn't allow her to be born to the world. They kill her from the womb itself. Regarding all these things we can clearly find out that the women folk are suffering from a lot of problems in Indian society. So the enactment of the law is anyway better for them.

There are a lot of things to be studied about the law. They can be discussed later.
